Alexis and Toby had so many awesome little touches that it’s hard to pick a favorite…the sunglasses, custom Vans, Cubs shout-out on the groom’s cake, honey jars, classic car exit, etc., etc., etc. However, the clear winner of the night was the guest “log.” Amazing….and just what I would expect of a couple that was willing to use a gun and bullwhip as props while sitting on a tractor during their engagement session. Well done.

The LBJ Wildflower Center at sunset = great photo location overload. So many choices, so little time! And as much as I love that sunset glow, the paper lantern-lit nighttime ceremony was just as gorgeous…if only just a BIT chilly! It’s now officially sweater season in Texas…

Lizzie and Khanh gave me the opportunity to shoot at two new locations – Emmaus Catholic Parish and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. I left each of these places impressed but also with questions – first, how long did it take to assemble that ceiling at Emmaus? That thing is insane. Second, did LBJ actually use that quilt, and if so, did we violate some kind of unspoken Texas law by acting silly in its presence? I really don’t want to offend LBJ.
